What the game sends, and to whom
To build a game, the app sends the player names and answers typed in that session to our server, which passes them to Anthropic (the maker of Claude) to write the game’s rounds. The app asks for your consent before anything is sent. Anthropic processes this data under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models.
What we keep
Our server does not log player names or answers. In a game on one phone, nothing is stored: once the rounds are returned to your phone, the request is discarded.
In an online room, each player’s answers are held on our server only until the host makes the game (usually a few minutes). They are never shown to other players, and they are deleted as soon as the rounds are written. The room itself (player names, the rounds and scores) is deleted automatically 3 hours after its last activity.
To make the free first game work, we keep one small record per install: an anonymous app user ID (created by RevenueCat and not linked to your name or email) and whether its free game has been used.
To stop anyone from flooding the service or guessing their way into other people’s rooms, we count recent requests per internet connection. We do not store your IP address: it is turned into a scrambled value that cannot be turned back into an address, and the counts are deleted within the hour.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple on iPhone and by Google Play on Android. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. It receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase records, never your answers.
No ads, no tracking
The app shows no ads and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Children
Lore Night is not directed to children under 13.
